Edgard Cornacchione earned his Habilitation, Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from USP and holds a Ph.D. in Human Development from UIUC. He maintains certifications as a Certified Public Accountant, Independent Auditor (CNAI), and Forensic Accountant (CNPC) through CFC/CRC. He serves as General Controller at USP and Professor of Accounting at FEA/USP. Edgard brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting and technology projects across Brazil and the United States, spanning manufacturing, financial services, insurance, commodities, automotive, transportation, chemical, wholesale, education, healthcare, and service sectors. He serves as a court-appointed expert witness with appointments in seven states (SP, PR, MG, RN, MS, SE, and AC). Edgard possesses extensive practical experience as an executive, board member, and investor, encompassing strategy, accounting, governance, auditing, digital transformation, and talent development.
